Fit for Mums or Dads is great for parents looking to get back in shape. This program caters to all fitness levels and offers parents a chance to socialise with other parents. You can even bring your kids along for a run around.
Fit for Mums or Dads is happening from Thursday, June 1 to Friday, June 16 from 9:30am-10:30am at Jindalee Boat Ramp Park in Jindalee.
2. Aqua Aerobics
If you love water exercises, then you must participate in Aqua Aerobics. This fitness program is suitable for everyone, ranging from non-swimmers to antenatal women and people with medical conditions such as arthritis.
Aqua Aerobics is taking place from Thursday, June 1 to Saturday, June 10 from 1:00pm-4:00pm at Yeronga Park School in Yeronga.
3. Body Weight Burn
Body Weight Burn is a fun fitness session which teaches you to increase metabolic burn and build stability and strength using your bodyweight. This program is also suitable for people of all fitness levels.
Body Weight Burn is happening from Thursday, June 1 to Thursday, June 15 from 9:30am-10:30am at Biami Yumba Park in Fig Tree Pocket.
4. Oxfam Trailwalker Brisbane
Oxfam Trailwalker is a fun and enjoyable trek which lasts for 48 hours across some of Brisbane’s finest walking tracks. This is a fundraising event, with proceeds going towards fighting injustice and poverty around the globe. There are two courses you can choose from – a 55km course and a 100km course.
Oxfam Trailwalker takes place from Friday, June 16 to Sunday, June 18 from 7:00am onwards at the D’Aguilar National Park in The Gap.
5. Yoga Day Festival
Yoga Day Festival is part of the UN’s International Yoga Day celebrations. This is a fun event with lots of yoga exercises ranging from asanas to deep relaxation and breathing techniques. Moreover, there’ll also be live music and games and activities for kids to enjoy at this event.
Yoga Day Festival is happening on Sunday, June 18 from 10:00am-4:00pm at the Royal International Convention Centre in Bowen Hills.
