One of the biggest malls in Queensland, Queen Street Mall stretches over 500m in length and includes 5 shopping centres, 4 shopping arcades and plenty of boutique fashion stores. From high-end boutiques to small retail stores there something for everyone at Queen Street Mall. Make sure to visit this fantastic shopping destination on your holiday and shop till you drop!
2. James Street | Fortitude Valley
Over the past few years, James Street has earned the reputation of being the most stylish shopping strip in Brisbane. Apart from a wide range of retails stores, it is also a fine culinary hub. James Street offers everything ranging from designer fashion and accessories, homewares, art galleries, restaurants and cafes.
Fortitude Valley is known for its edgy urban fashion and you can find it all along James Street. There are over 130 boutique stores on this street catering to everyone – ladies, gents and kids included! I must warn you though – keep an eye on your credit card. Latrobe Terrace is my absolute favourite shopping destination in Brisbane. This shopping haven has been somewhat of a local secret, given that Paddington is just outside the city. Latrobe Terrace is a long shopping strip on the way to Mt. Coot-Tha and it includes several stores and cafes.
You can expect to find everything ranging from homewares and furniture, fashion and accessories, art and delicious food here. In fact, Latrobe Terrace is located amidst such picturesque settings that you don’t even need to be shopping to enjoy the place! It’s the perfect place to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon in Brisbane.
4. Brisbane Arcade | Brisbane CBD
Located in Brisbane CBD, Brisbane Arcade is a shopping destination which is a hit with locals and tourists alike. The arcade is designed in renaissance style and reflects an old-school charm. Here, you’ll find plenty of speciality stores offering homewares, art, fashion and accessories.
