5 New Brisbane restaurants to dine at this weekend

Whether you are in Brisbane for the weekend, or you are planning your next visit, it is natural to think about where to dine. Brisbane has so many great restaurants, which is just one reason why I love living in this part of the world. You can find almost any type of cuisine here.

If you are staying at Bridgewater Terraces, you will discover that many of these Brisbane restaurants are within easy reach.

For this post though, I would like to give you an overview of the new Brisbane restaurants that are opening soon or have just opened.

Happy Boy, Fortitude Valley

If you are going to be in the Fortitude Valley area, you definitely won’t want to miss experiencing a Happy Boy meal. Owned by two brothers, you are in for a delicious treat from the array of Chinese meals and Asian street food offered here.

The Fortitude Valley restaurant is not the first Happy Boy-their first restaurant is at Spring Hill-so believe me when I say you really should plan to grab a bite here.

Banoi, Bowen Hills

This eatery brings all the goodness and warmth of Vietnamese cuisine right to your table. Known for their deliciously flavoured home-cooked meals available in two different locations around Melbourne, Banoi has finally decided to open up another location right here in Brisbane.

Plan to tease your taste buds and sate your palate with great tasting goodies loaded with Vietnamese spices.

The Pine Kitchen, Bowen Hills

Another new restaurant that’s just opened its doors in Bowen Hills is The Pine Kitchen. If you like a taste of Middle Eastern or Mediterranean cooking, then you’ll love this place.

What’s magical about The Pine Kitchen is the way they’ve been able to expertly fuse traditional Middle Eastern fare with classic Australian cuisine. Just imagine having a combined treat of Turkish Delight and Meringue pie for dessert? Sheer bliss.

The Pine Kitchen is great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It also doubles as a lovely coffee spot and you’re not limited to just coffee either. You can have your choice of coffee, hot chocolate, tea or rosewater.

Nativo Kitchen and Wine Bar, Brisbane City

New to the Barracks is the Nativo Kitchen and Wine Bar, which is an Italian restaurant. This dining spot is perfect because you can grab a meal just before or after seeing a movie. It is open throughout the day and provides breakfast, lunch and dinner.

If you love the goodness and robust flavours of Italian cuisine as much as I do, then you are going to love this new place. Get ready for parma ham, gnocchi with gorgonzola, different pasta meals and a pretty decent wine list.

Probably the most delightful part of this restaurant is how they’ve managed to bring the charm of nature into their space with lots of greenery. It’s certainly one Brisbane restaurant you should dine at this week.

Suki, South Brisbane

If you have never tried a make-your-own poke bowl and sushi burrito bar, this is your chance. Suki is the first specialty sushi burrito bar and poke bowl eatery in Brisbane. If you don’t know exactly what this is, well you’re not alone. Basically, this is a combination of a Hawaiian salad dish that’s made from rice, raw fish and greens while the other is a sushi burrito bar. Best of all, you get to make your choice.

You get to choose from an array of dishes like bamboo rice, pickled daikon, seaweed wraps and so many more. You can even choose your own ingredients and make up your own bowl and burritos.

Open from 11 am to 9 pm every day, you can enjoy Suki’s indoor or outdoor seating and if you’re traveling a group, it’s big enough for everyone.

Conclusion

Brisbane is home to some exceptional restaurants. Some new restaurants you can try include Happy Boy Fortitude Valley, Banoi, Suki, Nativo Kitchen and Wine Bar and The Pine Kitchen. All these have great tasting meals and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

If you are staying at Bridgewater Terraces, you will have no trouble getting to any of these great new restaurants in Brisbane. You get to enjoy new experiences in relative comfort.
