Fortitude Valley is undoubtedly one of Brisbane’s most popular destinations, which often cannot be fully explored in just one day. There are plenty of bars, pubs, nightclubs, cafes, restaurants and shops. However, if you are like me, your only real interest will be the dining options.
Thankfully, as a self-confessed foodie – I know just where to go to satisfy all your hunger cravings.
Continue reading this post as I list five of my favourite restaurants in Fortitude Valley. Visit one or all of these restaurants and you’ll enjoy really great food and drinks. You can thank me later!
1. Les Bubbles
I simply love a good steak. Who doesn’t? If you’d like to indulge in a delicious steak on your Brisbane holiday, there’s no better place to go to than Les Bubbles. You’ll find an assortment of steaks, salads, breads, desserts and wine at this restaurant. Hip and happening, Les Bubbles is one restaurant in Fortitude Valley that is a hit with tourists and locals alike.
2. Bucci Bar & Restaurant
A glamorous restaurant, Bucci Bar & Restaurant is probably the best when it comes to Italian food and wine. Featuring chic interiors, the dining room of this restaurant is cosy and perfectly complements a delicious menu. Make sure to try out the pasta and secondi, cured meat and delectable entrees while you’re there.
3. Nikuya Japanese BBQ & Tonkatsu
Are you fond of world cuisine (Japanese to be particular)? If you are, then you simply must pay a visit to Nikuya Japanese BBQ & Tonkatsu. Featuring a great blend of traditional touches on contemporary décor, this restaurant is famous all over the Valley. This restaurant is themed as per Japanese traditions and offers authentic Japanese cuisine. Some of my personal favourites at this restaurant include the Kurobata Pork, Panko and the Yakimono Skewers. Do try them out!
4. Saiko Teppanyaki
As an alternative to Nikuya, you can also drop by Saiko Teppanyaki. Teppanyaki is a blend of Japanese dishes, inspired by western style food and this restaurant excels at it. Whether you’re looking for breakfast, lunch or dinner, you’ll find it all at Saiko Teppanyaki. I’ve loved everything that I’ve tried out from their menu and I’m sure you’ll do too!
5. Gerard’s Bistro
If you’re fond of European and Middle Eastern cuisine, you must drop by Gerard’s Bistro. Featuring a truly innovative menu, this restaurant tops it up with perfectly balanced décor. You can enjoy lamb brains, chicken wings, pork dishes and even octopus at this wonderful restaurant. Oh, and there’s a fine selection of beer, wines and spirits that you can look forward to as well!
