Witness our city’s biggest annual cultural festival, the EKKA on your Brisbane holiday this winter. This 10-day long event is packed with fun-filled events and activities and live entertainment. A special mention goes to the plethora of food and wine stalls that you’ll find there. The EKKA is happening from Friday, August 10 to Sunday, August 19 at the Brisbane Showgrounds. Get in touch with nature and go green on your holiday by visiting the Brisbane Eco Expo. This expo is themed on sustainability and environmental friendliness and will feature special workshops, exhibits and organic cuisine.

The Brisbane Eco Expo is taking place from Friday, September 14 to Sunday, September 16 from 10:00am-5: 00 pm at the RNA Showgrounds. The RNA Showgrounds is 3km away from us at Bridgewater Terraces. If you stay with us, you’ll face no troubles attending this expo.

Indulge in some Sunday shopping

There’s nothing like Sunday shopping with locals at the Riverside Markets on your Brisbane holiday this winter. While you’ll get to experience how the locals spend a leisurely day, you’ll also treat yourself to a great atmosphere. From arts and crafts to gifts and novelties, fashion, food and live entertainment, plenty happens at the Riverside Markets.

If you’re fond of flowers, then you must treat yourself to the National Rose Championships and Queensland Spring Show on your Brisbane holiday this winter. This special event will showcase over 100 different varieties of champion roses from all across Australia.

The National Rose Championships and Queensland Spring Show will take place from Saturday, October 6 to Sunday, October 7 at the Mt. Coot-Tha Botanic Gardens.

Celebrate Scandinavian culture

Celebrate Scandinavian culture in the heart of Brisbane this winter at the Scandinavian Festival. This festival will bring together a range of entertaining and cultural offerings from the local clubs of Sweden, Finland, Norway, Estonia and Denmark.
