June is certainly an action-packed month in Brisbane, what with several sporting events scheduled to take place. From running events to cycling events, our city has something in store for all sports enthusiasts this month.

Here are 4 great sporting events taking place in Brisbane in June, which are not to be missed.

1. Kokoda Challenge

Gear up for one of Brisbane’s biggest running events with the Kokoda Challenge in June. This event consists of two spectacular courses through the D’Aguilar National Forest – a 15km run and a 30km run. This fun-filled event is sure to instil courage, mateship, sacrifice and endurance in you.

The Kokoda Challenge is on Sunday, June 4 from 7:00am-5:00pm at Brookfield Showgrounds. Tickets for the 15km event are priced at $50, while tickets for the 30km event are priced at $70 each. You can purchase tickets at the official Kokoda Challenge website.

2. Grapest 5k Run

Ever heard of exercising and drinking wine going hand in hand? Well, the Grapest Run offers you just this! You get to embark on a fun run through Brisbane’s vineyards and also taste exquisite wine while you’re at it. Remember – this is a fun run and not a race, so just go ahead and have a good time.

The Grapest 5k Run is on Saturday, June 3 from 3:00pm-9:00pm at Ocean View Estates. Tickets for this event are priced between $20-$69.50 and are available at the Endurance Events website.

3. City2South 2017

City2South 2017

City2South is arguably Brisbane’s most picturesque fun run and is attended by thousands ever year. The fifth edition of this event will cater to everyone including joggers, walkers and elite runners. Join others in the fun and take on a 5km course or 14km course at this event.

City2South 2017 is on Sunday, June 4 from 7:00am-1:00pm at Brisbane CBD. Tickets start upwards of $40 and can be purchased at the official City2South Event Website.

4. Brissie to the Bay

Cycling enthusiasts are also in for a lot of fun in June, with the Brisse to the Bay bike riding challenge. The event features four courses – a 10km event, a 25km event, a 50km event and a 100km event. Choose one as per your liking and join fellow riders for a fun day out in Brisbane.

Brissie to the Bay is on Sunday, June 18 from 5:30am-3:00pm at Musgrave Park. Tickets start upwards of $35 and are available at the official Brissie to the Bay website.
